About Dr. Dickson

Darren K. Dickson graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He completed his undergraduate degree in 1991 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Biology.

Dr. Dickson currently maintains a private cosmetic practice, emphasizing aesthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry, as well as endodontics.

Dr. Dickson believes in the importance of attending continuing education courses to stay abreast of the most advanced dental technologies and procedures available to date. By attending these courses, both he and his staff are able to provide the most comfortable, competent care for each of their patients.

Believing that patient comfort and care is top priority, Dr. Dickson offers aromatherapy, heated neck pillows, massage chairs, television and radio so each patient visit is a pleasant experience. For those patients who are anxious about visiting the dentist, Dr. Dickson provides nitrous oxide and oral sedation. He will go to all lengths to ensure the highest quality of care possible to all of his patients.

In addition to his commitment to excellence, Dr. Dickson enjoys golf, racquetball, history books, martial arts and playing guitar.

About Our Team

Alicia - Office Manager

Alicia is our awesome, easygoing Office Manager. She joined our team in 2007 with over seven years experience in dentistry. She is a true native Texan born and raised in the Dallas area. Spending time with her fiancé Sam, along with family and close friends makes her the most happy. When not working she enjoys listening to live music, traveling, shopping and being in the outdoors.

Kristy - Registered Dental Hygienist

Kristy, our wonderful and gentle hygienist since 2006, was a dental assistant for four years before pursuing her hygiene career. She graduated hygiene school in 2004 from Collin County Community College. She has been secretary for the Greater Collin County Dental Hygienists Society for three years. When not cleaning teeth, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Since family is so important to her she also enjoys spending time with her two nephews (ages 3 and 5) and her 1 year old niece.

Amy Jo - Registered Dental Assistant

Amy Jo, our talented dental assistant since 2006, came to the practice with five years experience and enjoys expanding her knowledge in our implant, cosmetic and general dentistry practice. Moving from Spokane, Washington she now resides in McKinney with husband Tyson and lives life to the fullest everyday. Amy Jo is blessed with two children, adventurous daughter Tyra, 6, and her always happy son Corbin, 9 months. In her spare time Amy Jo likes to play softball, go shopping, camping, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.

Diana - Registered Dental Assistant

Diana, our pleasant dental assistant since 2007 came to us with four years experience, is aggressively expanding her education in our implant, cosmetic and general dentistry practice. After graduating as a registered dental assistant in her hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas, Diana moved to Plano in 2007 looking to experience the “big city” life. She is most happy when she visits her father, four brothers, three nephews and eight nieces. She loves to salsa dance, shop, go to the movies, jam out at concerts and spend time with her friends.

Audrie - Hygiene Coordinator

Audrie is our fantastic Hygiene Coordinator and recent team addition in 2008, who is originally from Victoria, Texas and moved to Dallas two years ago from Los Angeles. With one and a half years experience she enjoys learning something new everyday about the dental field while pursuing her career in early childhood development. After graduating, she wants to use her teaching degree to emphasize the importance of oral health care to young children. In her free time she likes to hang out at the beach and tan, snowboard, garden, and spend lots of time with her goddaughter, Johanna.
